My Story

AR Vignesh, a Chennai-based filmmaker and director specializing in Sci-Fi, Psychological Thrillers, and emotionally driven commercial cinema. My passion for filmmaking began during his 12th standard and later became my profession, despite completing Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing.

With 5 years of experience in the film industry, I developed strong expertise in direction, screenplay writing, scene planning, actor coordination, and production execution. I received formal filmmaking training from MAXbee Academy and the South Indian Film Institute.

I worked as an Assistant Director for popular YouTube channels like Zerofilter and Nakkout, along with multiple independent short films. I also contributed to the pre-production process of the feature film Virgin Boys under Cosmos Entertainment.

As a filmmaker, I directed four standout short films, including a no-dialogue experimental film, a Rashomon-style narrative, a Sci-Fi thriller, and a commercial love story — all reflecting my unique blend of cinematic storytelling and commercial appeal.

My creative approach earned him 7 awards at the SIFI Film Festival, including recognition for Best Direction, Screenplay, Acting, Cinematography, and Editing.

With continuous learning and creative exploration, now I'm seeking fresh opportunities and collaborations to showcase my talent and establish myself as a strong voice in modern cinema.
